MikTeX portabel und portable Fonts

Hallo,
ich habe unter Windows 11 ein neues 'MikTeX portabel' auf einen USB Stick installiert und ebenfalls
ein localtexmf mit zusätzlichen opentype und truetype Fonts angelegt. In texmfs sind ebenfalls
otf und tts installiert. Jedoch werden die auf dem USB Stick befindlichen Fonts mit setmainfont{Fontname} per Fontname nicht gefunden.
Die Ausgabe von luafindfont "*" enthält nur Fonts aus Windows/fonts.
Ich nehme mal an, dass das nicht so sein soll. Was kann man machen?
