Habe die Frage im Forum auf der Seite von texstudio gestellt und diese Antwort erhalten:

Check the settings at Configure -> Commands -> External Pdf Viewer.
There you should have something like
open %.pdf
This opens the pdf with the default pdf app (which is the Apple Preview by default).
If you've changed the default pdf app on your system, you can also specify it explicitly by
open -a Preview %.pdf
Note, that the Apple Preview has no forward and inverse syncing functionality. If you don't want to use the internal viewer for some reason, I'd recommend to look for other external viewers.

Da ich standardmäßig Vorschau.app als PDF-Betrachter nutze, reichte bei mir das Eintragen dieser Zeile:
open %.pdf
