Polyglossia setzt den Sprachnamen auf german statt ngerman.

Versuche es also mit

\DeclareLanguageMapping{german}{german-apa}

Der biblatex-apa Entwickler antwortet dazu

The problem is that biblatex itself only works with babel at the moment. It's something that we're thinking about but it's quite a hard problem to add polyglossia support. I hope it will be done but it won't be for a while … personally I use lualatex instead to get full UTF-8 support

Den Vorschlag von Rainer hab ich auch gechecket. Läuft nicht.

Ich würde ja für deutsche Texte auch mit xelatex babel vorziehen. polyglossia ist da was dünn.

Abgesehen davon: Hast du denn versucht, Rainers Lösung (\DeclareLanguageMapping{ngerman}{ngerman-apa}) mit polyglossia zu verwenden?

Ok, so geht es. Aber das ist keine brauchbare Lösung.

Wenn ich Babel nutze könnte ich auch weiter LaTeX verwenden. Ich nutze aber XeTeX und benötige daher Polyglossia

\usepackage{polyglossia}
\setdefaultlanguage[spelling=new]{german}

Hier tritt der Fehler auf. Wie kann ich polyglossia und biblatex-apa gleichzeitig anwenden?

AFAICS wird dieses \mkbibdateapalongextra nur in den sprachabhängigen lbx-Dateien des biblatex-apa-Pakets definiert.

Ich mache gerade meine ersten Schritte mit biblatx-apa und falle gleich hin.

Habe jetzt meinen Code auf das Minimum reduziert und komme aber nicht hinter den Fehler.
\mkbibdateapalongextra sei nicht definiert.

DuckDuckGo spuckt zu dem Thema ne Menge anderer Foren-Posts aus, aber das scheint bei mir nicht zu helfen.

Habt ihr eine Idee?

Hier der Code

Polyglossia und DeclareLanguageMapping habe ich auch in verschiedenen Varianten und Kombinationen drin gehabt. Aber das ändert auch nix. Habs jetzt zur Sicherheit erstmal ganz rausgenommen.
